Pickleball is a paddle sport that was created in 1965 in America. It is a combination of tennis, table tennis and badminton.
The game uses paddles similar to table tennis bats, but larger and more rectangular. The balls are made of plastic or polymer with holes in them and much lighter than tennis balls. You can also play with foam balls that are softer, but still have a good bounce height. The court is a badminton-sized court with a slightly different configuration.
At the net you will find what is called the “’kitchen area’’ which is the non-volley zone. The net height is slightly lower than a tennis net.
