Who we are

Pickleballkidz was founded in 2025 by a speech-language therapist and pickleball enthusiast. Combining pickleball with a focus on holistic child development makes for a fun and educational experience.

We wanted to introduce pickleball to our own children, however at the time there was no pickleball coaching for children available in the area. Subsequently Pickleballkidz was born.

Pickleballkidz aim to develop pickleball skills as well as core areas of child development. We also provide sessions for children with additional needs (SEN). Pickleball is fun, physical and engaging and by using this unique sport we aim to stimulate and strengthen a wide range of areas.

    Turn-taking, eye contact, attention, receptive language, expressive language, auditory processing

  • Social skills

    Cooperation, collaboration, socialising, conflict resolution, strategy, inclusivity

  • Emotional skills

    Empathy, joy, self regulation, self confidence, impulse control, adapting

  • Physical skills

    Gross and fine motor, hand-eye coordination, balance, agility, stress management, strong and fit bodies

  • Cognitive skills

    Problem solving, critical thinking, strategy, memory, mathematical thinking, independent thinking

  • Leadership & character building skills

    Respect, discipline, integrity, confidence, resilience, teamwork
